Frankfort IL Real Estate and General Information

Frankfort, often called the "Jewel of the South Suburbs", is a village primarily located in Will County, Illinois, just 35 miles southwest of Chicago. The population was 10,391 at the 2000 census with its population increasing to 16,928 according to Forbes.com in 2006, which also ranked Frankfort as the 36th fastest growing suburb in the United States. This growth is accredited to the village's focus on developing its already thriving commercial and industrial corridor. There is a proposed I-355 extension which will give Frankfort direct access to the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and commuters already have quick access to the Chicago loop and all stops in between with the Metra commuter train. Both O'Hare International and Midway Airports are less than an hour away.
